FORMED BALE PRESS
Our Formed Bale Press can take any sized input bale and output consistently sized, double-compressed bales. The hay falls multiple times to improve the fiber alignment for a better flaking double compressed bale.
How it works
The Formed Bale Press can accommodate a load of six bales on the in feed table, where they are moved to the Bottom Bale Trimmer. The Trimmer can be adjusted to remove bad hay from bales at different heights. If there is no bad hay, the bale is cut horizontally and falls onto a belted scaled conveyor. The Scale Conveyor moves the hay up toward a hopper. Once the weight of the hay reaches the amount input by the operator, the conveyor clears all of the hay into the hopper.
The hay then falls again into the Cutter where another set of knives cuts it. The hay falls one more time into the main compression chamber. Two to three strokes are completed to make a double compressed bale. Then the bale is pushed to a holding chamber, where vertical and horizontal knives cut the bale once more. Then the bale is pushed out of the tongues and fills a sleeve. The finished bale is weighed, stacked and accumulated to be loaded into the shipping container. The whole process takes about 70 seconds per bale and 70 minutes per container.
